Porter Handyman

H.L Property Management, LLC is hiring a Full-Time Handyman/Porter with a driver's license for multi-unit residential buildings throughout Brooklyn.

Responsibilities

Fix minor issues like leaky faucets, broken lights, and damaged doors.
Take care of maintenance requests from tenants or office staff quickly.
Keep common areas clean, including hallways, lobbies, laundry rooms and restrooms.
Pick up litter inside buildings and on grounds
Sort recycling and put trash out for pick up
Check building systems (like plumbing, lights, and HVAC) regularly and fix small problems before they become big.
Help with moving furniture, setting up rooms for meetings or events, and general setups around the property.
Keep track of tools and supplies, making sure everything needed for repairs is available.
Do light cleaning like sweeping, mopping, and taking out the trash.
Be available to respond to emergencies, even after hours, to make sure the property stays safe and comfortable.
Help with basic renovations and repairs, such as painting and replacing tiles or fixtures.
Take pictures before and after repairs or maintenance work and upload them to AppFolio for documentation.
Work with outside contractors or repair people when a bigger fix is needed.
Perform ground maintenance including litter removal, removing of snow and ice, spreading salt, etc.
Follow safety rules and keep work areas clean and organized.
Keep a log of what repairs or work were done and when supplies were used.
Must have a valid driving license and be able to drive to different properties for maintenance tasks.
Always ready to work on weekends and holidays if needed or in emergency situations.
