In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing our second shift production team. Your main objective will be to effectively lead the team to work with high quality standards to ensure we produce quality products. You will partner with our quality, customer accounts, production planning and logistics teams. #LI-ONSITE
Job Responsibilities:
Manage the resources within the production environment to ensure that on time performance and quality goals are met.
Manage the performance of personnel to improve overall productivity. Maintain monthly performance information (including coaching notes). Compile this information into preliminary reviews for all direct reports.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Train and document new operators. Re-train and document existing operators as deemed necessary. Ensure all training documentation is accurate and up to date.
Maintain high levels of customer service and excellent communication with the IFF's Customer Service Representatives and fragrance sales teams.
Continuous optimization of the facility's available automation and reservoir infrastructure. Lead continuous improvement activities and implement lean manufacturing concepts.
Job Requirements:
Bachelors' Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or similar field
3+ years' experience in a production/manufacturing leadership role
Process Engineering exposure is a plus
Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
