Expected salary range of $88,200 to $98,000 , varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Permit Supervisor to lead a team specializing in the acquisition of electrical, HVAC, and plumbing permits for all state and local counties. The ideal candidate must have an advanced understanding of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing codes. The Permit Supervisor will ensure that all company trade licenses, and insurance documentation are up-to-date and compliant with regulations. This position requires working in an office setting with a team atmosphere. This position is not a hybrid position.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead a team in obtaining, managing, and renewing permits for electrical, HVAC, and plumbing projects across various state and local jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Maintain current and valid company trade licenses and accurate records of all permits and licenses.
  • Coordinate with project managers and contractors to ensure timely and complete permit acquisition.
  • Oversee the team in maintaining current and valid company trade licenses and ensuring accurate recordkeeping of all permits and licenses.
  • Monitor changes in permitting requirements and provide guidance to the team and internal departments on permitting processes and regulatory updates.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with inspectors and jurisdictional authorities. Including being a member of select jurisdictional boards.
  • Review incoming project submissions to verify permit readiness and alignment with company best practices and qualifications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in permit management, preferably in the electrical, HVAC, and plumbing industries
  • Strong knowledge of state and local permit regulations and requirements
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in team environments
  • 15-years of experience in permit management or a trade-related role
  • Journeyman trade license in HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical
  • Strong leadership, management, teamwork, facilitating, and communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's trade license in HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical
