Responsibilities:
- Manage wastewater design projects from start to finish.
- Prepare engineering design drawings using field surveying data, reports, maps, drawings, and topographical and geologic data.
- Determine and prepare project cost estimates.
- Handle projects from start to finish and maintain all aspects of the project life cycle.
- Prepare contractor pay requests.
- Confirm contractor adherence to construction specifications by monitoring project progress, inspecting construction sites, and reviewing shop drawings.
- Ensure design drawings and contract documents comply with federal, state, and local requirements.
- Manage CAD, surveying, clerical, and other support staff directly involved with the project.
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in Civil 3D.
- Skills in civil engineering, civil design, Autocad Civil 3D, piping design, and/or drainage design.
- Ability to prepare engineering design drawings using field surveying data.
- Capability to handle projects from start to finish and maintain all aspects of the project life cycle.
- Experience in monitoring project progress, inspecting construction sites, and reviewing shop drawings.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements for design drawings and contract documents.
Preferred Skills:
- Background in water/wastewater engineering design.
- Experience with stormwater, wastewater, and wastewater engineering.
- Experience in determining and preparing project cost estimates.
