Construction Inspector
Job Description

Join an innovative team dedicated to providing construction materials testing for engineering projects throughout Greater Philadelphia and the surrounding areas. This role involves traveling to different sites with specialized equipment to test various construction materials, primarily concrete, under the guidance of engineers and Professional Engineers (PEs).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections at various construction sites.
  • Perform concrete materials testing for construction projects and concrete pours.
  • Carry out site inspections to ensure compliance and quality standards.
  • Execute nuclear gauge testing as required.
Essential Skills
  • 0-2 years of experience in construction materials testing and/or construction.
  • Training in nuclear density gauge safety, handling, operation, and transportation.
  • Certification as an American Concrete Institute (ACI) Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade 1.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a drug test.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in concrete testing and construction inspection.
  • Familiarity with construction materials testing and sampling techniques.
Work Environment

Work at various construction sites, providing essential testing services for construction materials. Typically, work 40-hour weeks with some night shifts as the weather warms. Standard hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Dress code includes work boots, jeans, and a button-up shirt. This is an independent role requiring daily travel to sites, with the option to pick up necessary equipment before shifts if needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
