Superintendent

We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager for a 12-15 month project in Northern Virginia, focusing primarily on electrical upgrades. This role involves working on a confidential data center project with the potential for continued work from the same client over the next five years. The ideal candidate should preferably be local to Northern Virginia as travel will be required after the project.

Responsibilities

• Provide coordination and supervision of design-build and bid-build projects.
• Collaborate with clients, design team, and contractors to ensure project success.
• Build and maintain a jobsite culture of 'Safety First'.
• Oversee Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes.
• Manage daily coordination and logistics of subcontractors and jobsite activities.
• Collect, review, and submit shop drawings, product data, and test reports.
• Develop and update construction schedules and 'look ahead' schedules.
• Review estimates with the operations team to ensure logistical and site considerations are included.
• Regularly review project budgets with project management on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Complete daily and weekly reports and maintain a photo journal documenting progress.

• Proficiency in MS Project.
• Strong subcontractor relationship management.
• Experience in data center and mission-critical projects.
• Electrical construction and supervision expertise.
• Experience with switchgear systems.
• Ability to manage construction projects and supervise teams.

• Degree in Construction Management preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years experience in construction management or supervision.
• Experience with at least two data center construction projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively with contractors, designers, and clients.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and excellent computer skills.

The work environment involves managing a data center construction site. The role requires travel after the project, with 90% per diem travel compensation and mileage reimbursement if needed. The project demands a collaborative and safety-focused culture, with a preference for candidates local to Northern Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $81.00/hr.
