We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer III with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field. Our Mechanical Engineers are responsible for the mechanical design of our cutting edge products and services. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. Most of our products are custom, so most designs start from a blank canvas. You'll create conceptual designs for internal and external approval, work with multi-discipline engineering teams to obtain inputs, and produce drawings to drive procurement and operations. You'll support the product through the design and development phase, through production, and throughout the product lifecycle. Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
  • Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
  • Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Understanding of applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
  • Experience in Engineering Simulation such as Finite Element structural Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Thermal Analysis
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
  • Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing, and production processes

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $108,496.89 - $149,183.22. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
