Engineering Draftsperson

Amentum is seeking an Engineering Draftsperson for a position on Kauai, HI . Supporting the Public Works Department. Under minimal supervision, Engineering Draftsperson oversee drawings that meet specified requirements for their organization. AutoCAD is used to create drawings that satisfy project needs, analyze drawings and modify existing designs such as Schematics, Facility Baselines, General Development Maps, Floor Plans, Cable Plant, Engineering, and other facilities drawings for all PMRF sites.

Responsibilities

Specific assignments and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas:

• Produces graphic data and reproductions of PMRF facilities and property.
• Prepares interconnect, structural drawings, equipment/facility layouts, one-line diagrams, schedules and maps.
• Posts changes and additional information to existing electronic maps and drawings.
• Plans, prints or records in accordance with specific drawing standards and instructions.
• Work closely with project managers and project engineers to make sure that the design is precise. To also ensure that the contract responsibilities are met.
• Accountable for the maintenance of the CAD drawing library
• Performs site checks, measuring existing structures, documenting current conditions and collecting GPS data.
• Meet all project specifications and formatting within company principles.
• May back-up Range drafting as requested.
• Assist other departments in graphics requests.
• Performs other duties as required by Supervisor.

Additional Responsibilities

• Lifting, pushing/pulling 25-50 lbs.
• Work positions requirements: walking, standing, and sitting.
• Customer contact, office laboratory, and field assignment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associates degree or certificate in drafting from a technical school or community college. Five years experience in Engineering Drafting may be substituted.
• Two years experience in drafting, engineering drawing or related field.
• Must be thoroughly familiar with computerized drafting techniques using the most recent version of AutoCAD and AutoCAD products.
• Must possess the following PC skills: MS Word, Excell, Outlook, Power Point, and AutoCad, PhotoShop

Security Clearance

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a US Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.

HIRING HOURLY Rate of Pay: $45.56 (Hourly rate set by CBA.)
