HVAC Field Installer Entry-Level (14 Years Experience)
Reports To: Project Manager / Field Supervisor
Position Summary:
Vanport Mechanical & Fire Sprinklers, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Field Installer with 1 to 4 years of hands-on experience to support our Journeymen and Lead Installers on residential and light commercial job sites. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their HVAC career who is looking to build real skills, work with a tight-knit crew, and grow in the trade.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist Journeymen in installing HVAC systems and ductwork
Load, unload, and stage materials and equipment
Measure and cut sheet metal ductwork to spec
Install gas lines, line sets, thermostats, and equipment with supervision
Learn how to read blueprints and jobsite drawings
Support the crew in daily cleanup, tool organization, and prep work
Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE
Keep a professional appearance and positive team attitude on every job
Ideal Candidate Has:
1 to 4 years of HVAC experience (school + field is okay!)
Basic knowledge of furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless systems
Ability to follow instructions and learn new skills quickly
Physically able to lift 75+ lbs, climb ladders, and work on feet all day
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Valid drivers license
Willingness to take a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Bonus If You Have:
EPA Certification
06A or 06B Specialty Electrician Card (not required, but a plus)
