Finish Carpenter/Installer

We are a small rapidly growing custom cabinet company (www.snakecrafted.com, @snake.craft) that is seeking skilled carpenters to join our team. We primarily focus on high end residential cabinetry & custom millwork, which we usually install ourselves. Hours are typically 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Our projects tend to be in San Francisco and Marin, and occasionally jobs in the Sonoma area. (being able to commute to these areas is a must). There are sometimes travel jobs as well - we typically go to Kauai & Sea Ranch once or twice a year, being able to go on travel trips is not required but is a plus. On site work would be installing cabinets (kitchen, bathroom, etc.) and other general finish carpentry like installing baseboard, trim & specialty door hardware, scribing end panels, adjusting drawer fronts & doors, stair work, paneling etc. Although this position would be focused on on site finish carpentry work, there could be occasional in shop days at our shop in San Rafael. In shop would would consist of fabricating and assembling cabinets & other millwork, installing hardware, and other miscellaneous shop work. We are looking for someone to work either 4 or 5 days a week.

We're hoping to find someone who enjoys carpentry and building, has a great eye for detail, appreciates design & architecture, has a positive attitude, can work well in small teams but can work independently as well. Beyond that, the ideal candidate has the following:

-5+ years finish carpentry experience at a journeyman level
-owns all basic hand tools
-has reliable transportation to get to job sites
-can install basic cabinets independently (being able to install kitchens a plus)
-has in shop fabrication experience, esp with cabinet fabrication
-can read basic architecturals and shop plans
