Experienced Carpenters with the ability to effectively and efficiently:
Erect scaffolding and ladders in accordance with WorkSafeBC regulation,
Follow established safety rules and regulations,
Work with a variety of materials (wood, insulation, paint, adhesives, caulking, etc.),
Framing & Structural Carpentry
Forming & Concrete Preparation
Mould Remediation & Rot Repair
Finishing Carpentry
Build or repair cabinetry and framework
Remove / repair / replace damaged or defective sections of structures
Install fixtures and structures (e.g. windows and doors, trims, and hardware)
Install flooring, interior finishes, and trim
Mill custom trim work
Determine materials, methods, and the correct usage of tools involved in the construction or repair of residential and commercial buildings
Read blueprints, rough sketches, building plans
Maintain records, document actions, and prepare written progress reports
Organize and coordinate with other staff and sub-contractors
Use and maintain various machinery and tools; pneumatic, gas, electric, etc.
Protect the safety and security for staff, clients, and the public
Basic minor plumbing and electrical
Qualifications:
Must be proficient with both spoken a written English
Min. 3-5 years of hands on experience.
Legally permitted to work in Canada
