Building Engineer

Our client is currently seeking a Building Engineer

This position is going to be onsite in Palo Alto, CA with occasional travel to San Jose.

This is a 6 month, W2 contract with potential extensions.

This position will be supporting our Building Engineering team, with a focus on Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. This role is ideal for candidates ranging from entry-level helpers to journeyman-level technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance and repair of:
  • HVAC systems
  • Electrical infrastructure
  • Plumbing systems
  • General building infrastructure
• Provide hands-on support including lifting, carrying, and equipment checks
• Support existing technicians during periods of leave and attrition

Location & Schedule

• Primary Location: Palo Alto, CA
• Secondary Location: Occasional travel to San Jose (company vehicle provided)
• Schedule: On-site by 7:00 AM; end of day between 3:00-4:00 PM

Minimum Qualifications

• 1+ year of relevant experience (helper level and above)
• No formal degree required; trade school is a plus
• Valid driver's license preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift certification
• Experience in MEP trades
• Background in building engineering (license not required)
