Under Working Supervision this position reports to the Maintenance Technician Multi Skill. The position relies primarily on established policies, procedures, and applicable work practices to make decisions as they apply to the job duties and responsibilities. This Job Description outlines the job expectations, responsibility, and the principal duties of a FLUOR Maintenance Technician. Millwright Mechanical:
Installation: Setting up machinery and equipment according to specifications and blueprints.
Maintenance: Conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Alignment and Assembly: Ensuring proper alignment of machinery parts and assembling equipment to meet operational standards.
Troubleshooting: Identifying problems in mechanical systems and implementing effective solutions.

Electrical:
Troubleshooting: Diagnosing electrical issues in machinery, equipment, and systems to identify faults.

Preparation: Cleaning and preparing surfaces for welding, including cutting, grinding, and fitting components.
Technique Application: Utilizing different welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) based on the materials and requirements of the job.
Maintenance Tasks: Assisting with general maintenance duties as needed, including equipment upkeep and repairs.
Safety Compliance: Following safety protocols and using protective equipment to prevent accidents and injuries while working.
Carpentry:
Repairs and Renovations: Fixing damaged wooden structures, such as doors, windows, cabinets, and flooring.
Installation: Installing new fixtures, including cabinetry, trim, and structural components.
Framing and Construction: Building or repairing frameworks for walls, roofs, and other structures as needed.
Maintenance Tasks: Performing routine maintenance on buildings, including weatherproofing, painting, and finishing work.
Blueprint Reading: Interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to accurately carry out projects.
Collaboration: Working with other maintenance staff to coordinate larger repair projects and ensure overall facility upkeep.
Safety Practices: Following safety regulations and using proper protective equipment while working on-site.
Labor:
General Maintenance: Performing routine cleaning, repairs, and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
Assisting Skilled Trades: Supporting skilled tradespeople (e.g., electricians, plumbers, carpenters) by preparing materials, tools, and work areas.
Landscaping: Maintaining outdoor areas, including mowing lawns, trimming bushes, and clearing debris.

Typical Minimum Qualifications - Related Education, Experience & Skills
High School Diploma or equivalent appropriate General Certificates of Secondary Education or global equivalent preferred
Minimum three (3) years of trade school education or global equivalent and job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Proven experience in a maintenance role with proficiency in multiple roles.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and construction principals.
Ability to read and interpret building layouts, system drawings and manufacturers equipment specifications
Knowledge of standard and specialized maintenance practices
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients and other employees of the organization
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Knowledge and experience with basic hand tools and test equipment
Working Conditions
Generally favorable indoor/outdoor workspace, with facilities/manufacturing environment.
