SUMMARY: Support the design and analysis of engineering projects. The Engineering department is in charge of developing test equipment and technical data to create new capabilities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create projects for fabrication of test equipment.
- Review engineering specifications, drawings, and engineering artifacts to propose design modification.
- Use background knowledge to research for materials and equipment costs.
- Create technical drawings, assembly drawings, and Bill of materials.
- Comply with ARINC 668.
- Assess and provide technical directions based on findings.
- Provide technical guidance as needed.
- Stay current on product technical and regulatory changes.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree
OR an additional 3 years of specific work experience in lieu of degree.
6-7 years of relevant/technical work experience
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, scheduling applications and LabVIEW.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's degree
- 9+ years of engineering experience in the aviation industry.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to evaluate and solve complex technical problems.
- Ability to work in a flexible team environment.
- Ability to work independently.
