We are looking for a driven professional with a passion for the field of practice. This position will work in an integrated environment with the other disciplines, to develop and deliver well-rounded and comprehensive services and products to our clients, providing excellent cross-training and career development opportunities.

What you will do:

• Traffic design. Includes traffic signal design, intersection design to include alternative intersection designs, ADA ramps, signing and pavement marking, pedestrian and bicycle facilities.
• Use of industry standard traffic engineering design/analysis tools and standards.
• Design concept development, analysis, and screening.
• Preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates (PS&E package).
• Analysis and design of construction phasing and construction traffic control.
• Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Report writing.
• Client outreach and participation in preparing proposals.

What you will bring:

• Graduation from an accredited university with a bachelor or higher degree in civil engineering, transportation engineering or other related field of study

• Colorado PE licenses, and 5 years of relevant experience in the areas of duty, described above. Candidates with a PE license in another state than Colorado must be able to attain a Colorado PE license withing 6 months of hire.

• Additionally, the candidate will be expected to acquire a PE license in other states where WSB provides services.

• Evidence of experience on multimodal transportation and/or sustainable/complete street projects.

The exceptional candidate will be a professional engineer who meets the minimum qualifications, and has demonstrated the following capabilities and accomplishments:

• Possesses a PTOE certification or commits to acquiring a PTOE certification.
• Has an established network of local traffic engineers and clients.
• Experience and passion for multimodal transportation planning and design.
• Knowledge and experience with alternative/innovative intersection and interchange design concepts.
• Knowledge and experience with traffic signal design and timing.
• Experience with the development and analysis of alternative design concepts and lane configurations.
• Experience in preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Experience designing work zones traffic control and construction phasing,
