Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate degree in civil engineering with a specialization in geotechnical engineering ; and *evidence of effective
teaching, advising, and student engagement.

strongly commit to undergraduate teaching excellence and student engagement;
promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students;
undertake the Standard Instructional/Research/Service Workload as outlined in the Faculty/Staff Policy Manual;
provide academic advisement of students
conduct office/conference hours;
engage in professional development
fulfill the University s scholarship expectation through research, publication, grant development, and creative achievement;
participate on university committees and public service opportunities
maintain proper security for all University files and information and follow privacy procedures at all times;
maintain records and procedures for duties and responsibilities of position;
assist in the development, data collection, and analysis of required institutional, program accreditation, and other reports necessary for the advancement of University programs;
eagerly participate in student engagement and organization activities;
meet with prospective students
provide course and classroom conduct as outlined in the Faculty/Staff Policy Manual;
attend department, school, and university faculty meetings
attend commencement activities;
participate in annual faculty evaluation
submit textbook requests
comply with the university Faculty/Staff Policy Manual; and
perform other duties as assigned
