As a Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining refrigeration piping systems, including copper and galvanized piping, according to blueprints and specifications. Your role will involve performing brazing and soldering of copper tubing and fittings to ensure leak-free joints in refrigeration and HVAC systems, as well as installing and modifying galvanized ductwork for air distribution systems. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and schematics to determine pipe routing and system layout. Cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand and power tools including pipe cutters, threading machines, and torches. Secure piping systems using hangers, brackets, and clamps, ensuring compliance with safety and building codes. Conduct pressure testing and leak detection on completed systems to ensure integrity and performance. Collaborate with HVAC technicians, welders, and general contractors to coordinate installation schedules and resolve field issues. Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition and adhere to all OSHA and site-specific safety protocols. Essential Skills 3+ years of experience in pipefitting with a focus on refrigeration or HVAC systems. Proficiency in brazing, soldering, and working with copper and galvanized piping. Familiarity with ductwork fabrication and installation. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
