Regional Vice President of Builder Sales, Texas Position Overview The Regional Vice President of Builder Sales for the Texas market is a pivotal leadership position responsible for driving growth in our residential flooring business. This role entails leading a team of territory sales managers and formulating a comprehensive strategy to expand both private label national business and discretionary dealer business, alongside direct builder specification efforts. The successful candidate will oversee the Texas state market within the builder single-family segment, ensuring alignment with corporate goals while fostering a culture of collaboration, trust, and knowledge sharing among team members. This position will work from and reside in the Texas market, preferably Dallas or Houston. Key Responsibilities: Lead, motivate, train, and direct territory sales managers to achieve corporate goals while acting as a player-coach to enhance their selling capabilities and business growth. Develop and implement overarching strategies to grow the Texas market, particularly within the builder single-family segment, ensuring alignment with Shaw Industries' objectives. Monitor sales performance and ensure that the team hits or exceeds budget targets, analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Maintain control over regional expenses, especially those related to claims, accommodations, returns, and pricing, ensuring all client accounts are effectively managed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, especially the builder national specification team, to align strategies and support initiatives tailored to the Texas market. Demonstrate a clear understanding of Shaw Industries' internal and external procedures to effectively address customer problems and enhance customer satisfaction. Allocate appropriate time to spend with each territory sales manager, ensuring they are supported and guided in their roles. Qualifications: 4 years of professional experience required. Experience leading a team, indirectly leading a team, or formally mentoring teammates required. Flooring industry experience or a business adjacent to the flooring industry such as home renovation/home improvement experience required. Single family home builder business segment experience preferred. Undergraduate degree preferred. Successful sales experience preferred. Financial acumen skill set including knowledge and understanding of a P&L preferred.
