Creative Handyman

Creative Handyman (Anaheim) image 1 of 15 compensation: $20-$25 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9 AM-5 PM (some flexibility) Duration: 4-6 weeks, with potential for ongoing work Pay: $20-$25 per hour, based on experience About the Role: We're a small, hands-on team that designs and installs themed homes from scratch. Each project is differentone week you might help transform a garage into a superhero out, the next you could be installing smart home gear, themed bunk beds, or hidden passageways. We're currently looking to bring on a Creative Property Technician for the next 4-6 weeks to assist with a series of new builds in the Orange County area. The role is hands-on, highly creative, and ideal for someone who works quickly, enjoys problem-solving, and loves building unique spaces. There is potential for long-term work after this initial period. Attached are photos of past projects we've completed to give you a sense of what we create. What You'll Do: Assemble and modify furniture Mount TVs, artwork, shelves, and themed decor Install and configure smart home devices (locks, cameras, thermostats) Perform light electrical work (installing outlets, ceiling fans, light fixtures) Run wiring for new outlets or fixtures Work on light carpentry projects (e.g., cutting and modifying wood, using a table saw) Help bring creative ideas to life based on each home's unique theme Assist with outdoor setups (e.g., playground installs) You Should Be Comfortable With: Using basic tools and power tools (drill, stud finder, level, saw, etc.) Working quickly without sacrificing quality Solving problems on the fly Handling general electrical tasks safely and confidently Moving between varied tasks from day to day (this job is not repetitive) Bonus Experience (not required but helpful): HVAC or plumbing Pool equipment (pumps, heaters) Low-voltage wiring (e.g., AV, LED strips) Soldering small components or lighting setups Requirements: Must have a reliable car Must own basic tools (drill, level, screwdrivers, etc.) Must be reliable, efficient, and self-motivated Must enjoy hands-on creative work and be eager to contribute ideas Should be fast-movinggetting things done quickly allows us to start the next cool project!
