Job description Michael Baker International is seeking a hard-working and passionate Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role, your responsibilities include design and documentation for a broad range of project types. Our current focus includes expanding our market share in Federal and Department of Defense projects, while also diversifying into Healthcare, Data Centers, Higher Education, and Industrial sectors. You will work in multi-disciplinary, collaborative project design teams with architects, interior designers, civil engineers, and building systems engineers. You must demonstrate organizational skills, an ability to work in a team environment, and an advanced understanding of construction documents and constructability. Can you walk me through a typical day of a Senior Electrical Engineer? Provide electrical designs at a level of competence of being in responsible charge of the design; stamp and seal documents; field technical questions; peer review electrical designs Play an integral part in the preparation of proposals, qualifications submittals, and interview presentations Schedule and facilitate or participate in kick-off meetings Train and oversee the work of less experienced electrical engineers, designers, and CAD technicians Establish and meet timelines and deadlines, prepare construction documents and reports, coordinate with sub-consultants, coordinate final production, and delivery of electrical designs What can I expect for a career path, and where might this role take me? We are committed to the growth of our personnel and we support this with world-class learning and development, including internal training that leads to career advancement, structured mentoring, and support for professional development As your knowledge and capabilities increase, you will be able to explore our management and technical career paths Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a focus on Electrical Engineering 10-20 years of related experience Licensed Professional Engineer (a must) Effective visual/verbal communication skills Possess a proficient understanding of inter-relationships among design/engineering disciplines, clients, and construction Preferred Qualifications Engineering software experience (SKM, EasyPower, AGI32, or Elumtools) Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) Knowledge of Autodesk Revit/AutoCAD and Micro-Grid Design experience Location This is a hybrid role that can sit in Rocky Hill, CT, Moon Township, PA or Jacksonville, FL. Compensation The National salary range for this position is $107,000- $140,000. The actual salary offered will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate, and relative to salary ranges in the offering office.
