This role involves designing and developing painting systems and procedures for HVAC projects, selecting appropriate coatings for different materials and environments. Responsibilities Design and develop painting systems and procedures for HVAC projects, selecting appropriate coatings for different materials and environments. Coach and mentor junior painters, providing guidance, training, and support to develop their skills. Inspect HVAC components and systems to determine the best approach for painting, including surface preparation, coating selection, and application techniques. Manage and coordinate painting schedules, ensuring timely completion of projects and effective use of resources. Perform complex painting tasks, including intricate detailing, high-durability coatings, and protective finishes. Conduct quality control inspections, ensuring finished surfaces meet aesthetic, functional, and durability requirements. Ensure that all painting work complies with company quality standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols. Maintain and troubleshoot painting equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition and performing preventive maintenance as needed. Stay current with new painting technologies, materials, and industry best practices, implementing improvements as needed. Follow lean manufacturing guidelines, providing continuous improvement suggestions for gained efficiency. Essential Skills 5+ years of industrial spray painting experience. Ability to set up spray gun, mix paint, and clean systems to ensure the sprayer remains operational. Experience working in a paint shop environment, wearing a respirator and maintaining all equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical specifications. Strong communication and organizational skills. Knowledge of safety regulations, environmental controls, and PPE requirements in industrial painting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to pass truck and crane certification with training upon hire. Experience in a painter role for at least 2-3 years. Extensive knowledge of painting techniques and coatings. Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality, durable finishes. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in an air-conditioned manufacturing facility in Mesa, Arizona, with electric charging stations and participate in a fast-growing dynamic environment where entrepreneurial spirit is recognized. Physical requirements include lifting and/or moving up to 35 pounds, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and climbing portable ladders. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Arizona. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
