Cabinetmaker Apprentice

Cabinetmaker's apprentices work alongside a master cabinetmaker and learn how to read a ruler, add and subtract fractions, use the millimeter system, read blueprints, measure, cut and assemble custom cabinetry and millwork. We then teach how to finish and install the cabinets. We will teach the safe use of hand tools such as routers, pad sanders, etc. as well as introduce apprentices to more sophisticated computerized woodworking machinery. Applicants show know how to read a ruler and know how to easily add fractions. It would be helpful on the applicant's end to be familiar with basic hand tools such as saws, routers, drills and screwdrivers. It would also be very advantageous if an applicant had a valid driver's license so if needed, they can pick up materials or delivery cabinets in our truck.
