Our Poughkeepsie, NY Regional Office is looking for Civil-Structural Bridge Design Engineers

As a Structural Bridge Design Engineer with Modjeski and Masters, you will work on a variety of challenging and rewarding bridge engineering projects for a myriad of transportation clients. As a member of our team, you'll be immediately responsible for performing engineering tasks under the careful supervision of established and respected professionals. Qualifications

Positions Available -

Entry Level (0-4 years)

Bridge Design Experience preferred

Ideal Candidates will have:

At minimum a BS in Civil Engineering from anABET accredited College or University

Ideal candidates will have a valid EI certification, or in the process of obtaining.

General Responsibilities of a Structural Bridge Design Engineer:

Review and check standard structural design calculations.

Assist with structural analysis and design of standard bridge components using analysis software.

Assist with the development of preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians for development of contract plans.

Provide information for design reports.

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including field inspections and construction service assignments.

Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.

Assist with the preparation of project-related documents and internal correspondence.

Assist and perform and check quantity take-offs from contract plans.

Review and check drawings under the careful supervision of a Senior Enigneer

Use engineering analysis software such as LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, MicroStation,etc.

Able to learn and correctly apply relevant design specifications, including: AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, ACI, etc.

Salary Range:

Salary ranges are subject to change and are based on and total years of related experience.
