Performs engineering design on specific tasks and portions of a broader project under minimal supervision of an experienced design engineer. Ability to utilize analytical techniques in solving technical problems. Demonstrates commitment to high quality technical performance utilizing current technical knowledge and applications. Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests. Ability to produce high quality technical and professional deliverables on projects and proposals. Demonstrates developing competency in utilizing computer software tools and applications to solve difficult engineering problems. Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with minimal supervision. (Up to 20% Domestic Travel).Requirements:Master's degree** in Civil Engineering or related field plus three (3) years of experience as Graduate Assistant, Civil Engineer, or related role. **Employer will accept a Bachelors degree and five (5) years of experience in lieu of a Master's degree and three (3) years of experience. Experience must include: Utilizing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, including Autodesk AutoCAD and Civil 3D, for grading landscapes and calculating quantities of earthwork and foundation materials. Gathering and collecting data from site inspections, field surveys. utility maps, GIS data, and geotechnical reports to support planning, design, cost estimation, and construction phases of building and roadway rehabilitation projects. Designing retaining structures (including gabion walls and stone masonry) for permanent erosion and sediment control on carriage way of road from side slopes.
