### **Job Title:** Warehouse Worker / General Laborer**Location: Wise Staffing Group****Department:** Warehouse / Logistics**Reports To:** Warehouse Manager or Terminal Supervisor------------------------------------------------------------------------### **Job Summary:**The Warehouse Worker / General Laborer plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the trucking terminal. This position is responsible for loading and unloading freight, organizing inventory, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.------------------------------------------------------------------------### **Key Duties and Responsibilities:**- Load and unload trucks using manual labor or equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.- Sort, stage, and organize freight according to delivery or storage requirements.- Assist with inventory control by labeling, scanning, and tracking shipments.- Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment by sweeping, removing debris, and disposing of trash.- Ensure proper handling of fragile or hazardous materials according to safety protocols.- Help secure cargo with straps, load bars, or shrink wrap when needed.- Assist drivers with check-ins and outbound documentation, if required.- Follow instructions from supervisors and operate in compliance with company policies.- Perform general labor duties such as lifting, stacking, moving materials, and light maintenance.- Report damaged goods, safety hazards, or equipment issues promptly.------------------------------------------------------------------------### **Requirements:**- **Must have a clean-shaven face** (to comply with safety or PPE requirements, if applicable).- **Background check required.**- **Drug screen required prior to employment.**- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks in a warehouse environment.- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.- Forklift experience is a plus (certification may be required based on position).- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and teamwork skills are essential.
