Loader OperatorOverview: Suit-Kote Corporation is accepting applications for an experienced loader operator in Polkville, NY, able to operate at a very fast pace feeding raw materials into cold feed bins.Safety Expectations: All Suit-Kote employees are required to comply with all safety rules and to observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times. Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit- Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others.Responsibilities/Job Duties:Operate the Loader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.Perform daily and routine cleaning and maintenance as well as safety checks of equipment.Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area.Operate Loader controls to lower and tilt bucket and drive forward to force bucket into bulk material; Move lever to raise and tilt bucket when filled, or to dump material.Load customer trucks and trailers with aggregatesOperate Loader on public or private roadways, maintaining proper awareness of ones surroundings.Communicate with the scale house and quarry personnel for the needs of customers and the quarryManage stockpilesOperate other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as required.Required Skills/Abilities:OSHA 10 Hour Safety Certificate, or willingness to obtain one.Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conductedPunctuality is extremely importantHigh school diploma or GED is preferredReliable transportation to and from work siteMust be unafraid of heightsMust be able to lift 50 poundsStrong work ethicMust have a clean motor-vehicle recordPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift 50 poundsObserve and comply with necessary PPE requirementsMust be able to work in a noisy area with many odors presentBending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crawling and squattingOther Preferred Qualities:Ability to read and understand SDSHazmat endorsement a plusBasic computer skills (Microsoft Office)Salary Rate: $20.00-$24.00/hourBenefits: Suit-Kote offers competitive wages, paid time off, and a growth oriented work environment.
