Electrical Project Engineer

Insight Global is looking for an Electrical Project Engineer to join a leading Design company within the Semiconductor industry. The Engineer with define design criteria, scope definition and justification, development of design concepts, completion of positioning, programming, and detailed design, influencing design standards, construction specifications, and operations requirements. It will also include development of project budgets, schedules, and safety requirements and performing conceptual engineering analysis for multiple scenarios that can include high level schedule and/or budget development. Strong communication and presentation skills are required as you will help customers and stakeholders make critical business decisions based on time and cost constraints.

Additional responsibilities include:
Be consulted for any major construction project related to facilities power systems.
Assess the feasibility of new projects.
Develop more detailed scope through field walks and collaboration with facilities operations partners and project engineers from other disciplines.
Serve as the Owner's representative to provide technical guidance and issue resolution during detailed design and construction.
Manage the performance of the Integrators Architectural and Engineering/Owners design
Consultant vendor in their discipline.
Interface and coordinate with contract design, construction, scheduling, and estimating resources
Interface with facilities staff and project managers to enable facility design efforts for their area of expertise.
Define design criteria, lead scope definition and justification, develop design concepts, and oversee completion of positioning, programming, and detailed design
Work with estimators to ensure costs are captured and project budgets are met
Improve standards and drive innovative solutions
Collaborate and share learnings with their counterparts at other sites across the globe.

Pay Rate 45/hr - 60/hr

Focus on industrial, semiconductor, and cleanroom projects.
Familiarity with 1-line diagrams
Experience using BIM (Building Information Modeling) for 3D modeling
Proficiency with reading and interpreting construction contract documents.
3+years of experience leading a team.
3+ years of experience with electrical systems such as.
3+ years of experience managing project change control.
3+ years of experience with building and fire codes and hazardous occupancies is preferred.
Familiar with ATEX and EPD requirements.
Familiarity with power modeling databases such as EasyPower or SKM is preferred
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
4+ years of experience on new build design and construction of large industrial complexes specific to electrical systems
Electrical system experience should include the following:
Low voltage (4160V), medium voltage (<15k v),="" emergency="" power="" systems,="" critical="" (ups)="" power="" systems,="" lighting="" systems,="" and="" heat="" trace="">
3+ years of experience with construction, start-up, and commissioning/turnover of facilities systems
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and PE
