Assistant Project Manager – Structural Steel (95% Travel, USA) – Commercial Projects

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in overseeing commercial structural steel construction projects from start to finish.
- Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
- Review blueprints, engineering drawings, and project specifications to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
- Monitor daily construction activities and address any issues that may arise on-site.
- Track project progress, document updates, and report to senior management.
- Ensure quality control and adherence to safety regulations at all project locations.
- Assist with procurement, scheduling, and logistical planning for materials and equipment.
- Communicate with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to maintain smooth project execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. (recent graduates are encouraged to apply)
- Strong background in structural steel and commercial construction processes.
- Willing and able to travel extensively (95%) across the U.S. and be away for long periods.
- Previous experience in project coordination, field supervision, or construction site management is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
Salary is $70K - 80K depending on experience.
