Seattle - Shipyard Welder/Welder PAY - 30 - 32$ Job Description We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team in Bremerton, providing welding support for the HAB Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components used in the construction and repair of ships. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities Perform various welding techniques, including Stick and Flux, to join metal components according to blueprints and specifications. Experience with Stainless Steel is a plus. Cut, shape, and assemble metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Inspect welded joints and structures to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. Maintain and repair welding equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition. Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices. Collaborate with other trades, such as pipefitters, electricians, and shipfitters, to ensure seamless project execution. Keep accurate records of work performed, including materials used, time spent, and any issues encountered. Essential Skills Proficiency in various welding techniques, including Stick, Dual Shield, and MIG welding. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a welder, preferably in a shipyard or marine environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in ship repair and marine repair. Completion of a welding apprenticeship program is preferred. DBIDS/Green badge needed. Why Work Here?
