Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management and estimating, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Position Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage estimating processes and timelines to meet both short-term and long-term company objectives.
- Collaborate with operations teams and clients to define project scope and analyze bid documents to identify and qualify targeted opportunities.
- Develop conceptual engineering designs, including system selection, layout, and sizing.
- Source, contact, and solicit bids from subcontractors and vendors, ensuring the distribution of relevant support documents.
- Estimate interim designs to confirm pricing, conducting necessary research for accurate cost estimates.
- Communicate effectively with clients to define project scope, address deficiencies, negotiate pricing, and foster positive relationships.
- Provide leadership, direction, and training to assigned estimating team members.
- Prepare and present comprehensive estimating packages to senior management and the operations team
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in electrical, mechanical, or plumbing estimating.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software, preferably Accubid, Bluebeam, and/or AutoBid.
- Strong multitasking abilities in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient in managing tasks and deadlines.
- Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Ability to demonstrate and uphold core company values such as integrity, accountability, teamwork, innovation, and growth.
