Join us as an Architectural Designer to join our Retail Practice. This role will expose you to working on various projects in the Retail Practice group. As the successful candidate, youwill be an out-of-the-box thinker with a talent for developing creative detailing solutions. Role accountabilities:
- Initiate and create architectural designs from concept through to design development with a focus on retail design
- Successfully collaborate with project managers through design process to achieve alignment with client requirements
- Presentation and progress reporting
- Develop plans and associated project detail in all its stages of design
- Analyzing data and information and developing technical and financial feasibility studies
- Architectural concepts, materials, finishes, details, and construction methodologies and reviewing during construction.
- Monitor and supervise the work and services defined
Qualifications & Experience:
- Completed Bachelor University Degree in Architecture, Master's Degree is preferred
- Minimum 2-4yearsexperience in an architectural firm
- Must have experience in retail and mixed use design
- Basic software skills: Revit/BIM, AutoCad, Sketchup, InDesign, Microsoft Office
- Capable of exercising independent judgment in evaluating, selecting and applying standard architectural design techniques, procedures and criteria to make design adaptations and modifications
- Advanced research, data gathering and analytic skills (e.g. product data)
- Advanced proficiency with relevant desktop applications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication and time management skills
- Developing skills, including technical, project management, relationship management and commercial skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage time and deadlines in a fast paced work environment
- Highly motivated with the ability to work independently within a collaborative team.
- Proactive and detail oriented

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP, 401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $66,000 - $106,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
