Minimum Qualifications

Completion of high school and two years of experience in the performance of the full range of journeyman level tasks associated with the trade(s) areas related to the position's role; or an equivalentbination ofcation and experience.

Essential Job Functions

This position supervises four maintenance mechanics-mechanical trades and all HVAC for the 18 residence halls. This position coordinates warranty work and facility issues during the academic year with the public-private partnership halls, students, and staff. This position assigns all workers to the eighteen maintenance mechanics and four supervisors. Serves as the leader of maintenance area in the absence of the maintenance supervisor when needed. This position assists with the on-call scle and coordination. The position manages preventative maintenance scling and work distribution from it. Position balances day-to-day operations, preventative maintenance, and long term planning.

Skilled in multiple trades - Plumbing, Locksmith, Carpentry, Electrical, and HVAC

Strongputer skills and ability to use technology

Strong leadership and supervision skills

Excellentmunication (verbal and writing)

Ability to coordinate multiple projects, jobs, and tradespersons

Preferred Qualifications

Certificate or licensure in locksmith, carpentry, GC, plumbing, HVAC

Anticipates and proactively pursues facilities-related maintenance issues and/or problems. Recognizes innt problems with prores and practices and makes suggestions for improvement. May include management, peers, and subordinates in the decision-making process to gain the support and acceptance of all parties.

Safety and Health Compliance:

Regularly assesses safety conditions; identifies,municates, and implements accident prevention and corrective measures in work related activities. Enforces appropriate post-emergency prores. Anticipates safety issues and takes proactive steps to maximize safe operations and measure the effectiveness of action.

Communication:

Persuades and negotiates to build rapport when establishing goals and objectives for facilities maintenance projects. Assesses and weighs the impact of the message on theanization or customer, including regulatory implications. Advises and consults with others to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of codes, instructions, policies, prores, rules, regulations, laws, etc., related to facilities maintenance.

Attention to Detail:

Checks and re-checks work of others considering accuracy with respect to standards and codes. Considers options and details that are not obvious. Troubleshoots total systems. Integrates highest quality control standards into work.
