Fabrication Machine Operator Job Description Seeking a skilled Fabrication Operator for the 2nd shift in Souderton, PA. The operator will coordinate activities to lay out work, set up machines or equipment, and meet fabrication and customer requirements according to design specifications and schedules. The role demands the ability to read, analyze, and interpret instructions, including blueprints, and troubleshoot machine issues while performing preventative maintenance. Efficient resource utilization to minimize scrap, materials, and labor is essential. Responsibilities Coordinate and lay out work for fabrication processes. Set up machines and equipment according to design specifications and schedules. Read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend written and verbal instructions, including blueprints. Troubleshoot machine problems and perform preventative maintenance. Utilize resources efficiently to minimize scrap, materials, and labor. Essential Skills Proficient in saw operation, drill press, bandsaw, machine set up, and machine operating. Ability to read blueprints and perform sheet metal fabrication. Experience with shear, punch press, press brake, micrometer, tape measure, and calipers. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma required. Experience with equipment such as shear, riveter, drill press, strippit punch press, roller, disk sander, portable power tools, band saw, table saw, hand brake, manual brake press, manual mill, and manual lathe. Work Environment Work in a sheet metal fabrication shop on the 2nd shift from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential changes to 4 10-hour days from Monday to Thursday, with overtime on Friday.
