Please visit www.cmimgmt.com to learn more about our company! **Job Description** The Journeyman Electrician performs electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work at CMI's customer site located in Washington, DC. **Key Job Functions** + Receives assignments verbally and by work order and will determine the safest best methods to accomplish assignments. + Responsible for electrical preventive maintenance + Testing and repair of the electrical systems + Installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment; + Working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment, working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment, and using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments. **Qualifications** + High School diploma + Ability to effectively verbally communicate + Minimum of 5 years of providing electrical repair services preferably within a federal facility + **Must be a current licensed (journeyman level)** + Must be able to pass government background check + Must possess troubleshooting skills for high, medium, and low voltage electrical systems typically found in large commercial structures + Sound ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical distribution systems, motors, controls, and miscellaneous electrical systems **Additional Information** CMI is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
