Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor Location: Chatham - Hybrid Working Available Salary: 45,000 - 55,000 Department: Commercial Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced Quantity Surveyor! We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a talented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading team in the water industry. This is a permanent opportunity offering hybrid working, giving you a perfect balance between office presence and working remotely. Reporting directly to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will take financial responsibility for several key accounts on a major project or lead the commercial delivery of smaller schemes. Key Responsibilities: Manage applications for payment, valuations, and cost-value reconciliations. Oversee cost control, forecasting, and contribute to monthly reporting (value, cost, cash flow, profit/loss). Support end-to-end supply chain management from tender to final account. Assist with Risk and Value Management processes and mentor site teams on best practices. Lead effective contract administration (especially under NEC frameworks). Prepare and negotiate subcontract packages and manage contract execution. Maintain accurate and timely project documentation and notifications. Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and client representatives. Provide contractual guidance to site teams and ensure commercial compliance. Promote a safety-first mindset by escalating safety concerns as necessary. About You: Essential: Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a similar discipline. MRICS/ARICS or actively working towards APC. Experience working with a main contractor on civil infrastructure or construction projects. Desirable: Previous experience within the water sector (AMP frameworks a plus). Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
