We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer in our Annapolis, MD office.

Responsibilities

+ Provide lead structural engineering and project engineering responsibilities on design projects

+ Prepare detailed plans for new and rehabilitation bridge designs

+ Perform engineering deign calculations

+ Develop contract specifications, construction cost estimates, and preparation of contract bid documents

+ Lead a team of structural engineers on design projects

+ Perform field inspections to evaluate existing conditions, document findings, and record measurements in the field

+ Perform QA/QC duties for projects

+ Provide mentoring and training to junior engineers

+ Assist with preparation of task proposals

Requirements

+ B.S. degree in Civil Engineering

+ Professional Engineering License

+ A minimum of ten years of experience in transportation projects with a focus on bridge design (preferred experience in the Mid-Atlantic Region)

+ Experience in conceptual, preliminary, and final design plan production of bridge projects following Federal and State codes

+ Experience with perform bridge load ratings

+ Ability to work effectively as part of a design team and manage small design groups and projects

+ Must be detail and goal-oriented, a self-starter and proficient in both verbal and written communication

+ Ability to develop CAD drawings in Microstation, Open Roads Designer, and AutoCAD

+ Ability to develop proposals, schedules and manage tasks independently

Benefits

Salary Range- $135,000-$175,000 annually. Salary commensurate with experience.
