Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Technician to join our growing team. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical systems for our clients. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical codes and standards, coupled with the ability to work independently and as part of a team on various electrical projects.
**Responsibilities:**
- Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant local codes.
- Perform inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure code compliance and safety.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and other electricians on electrical construction and installation projects.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and specifications.
- Install and configure fire alarm systems, security systems, and other low-voltage systems.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all electrical work performed.
- May supervise and train electrical apprentices (depending on experience).
- Uphold a high standard of safety and quality in all aspects of work.
**Qualifications:**
- Journeyman Electrician License required in the state of Maryland
- Valid NICET Level II certification in Fire Alarm Systems or a related field (Preferred, not required)
- Minimum 1-3years of experience working as a Journeyman Electrician on commercial or industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical theory, principles, and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
- Strong commitment to safety practices and procedures.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required.
