Business Operations Manager / Contract / Remote

Our large finance and advisory client is looking for a contract Business Operations Manager. This is a fully remote role.

Business Operations drives strategic planning, business critical insights, and cross-functional execution to drive growth for the business. Were seeking a Business Operations Manager to support our clients marketplace businesses: Protect, At Work, Lantern and SMB (PALS) products. You will report to the Head of Business Operations for Money, Invest, Credit Card and our clients marketplace businesses and will be a trusted partner for the leadership team focusing on high-impact strategic projects, data analysis, and process efficiency and optimization.

Business Operations works with many teams within our client. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic thinker who can work cross-functionally to solve complex challenges with uncertain inputs and outputs.

Contract Duration: 6-Months

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+years of experience in consumer financial services, a top-tier consulting firm or high growth business in an analytical capacity
• Familiarity with financial services and/or consumer technology companies
• Hands-on operational capabilities with advanced proficiency in Google suite, MS Office apps, etc.
• Strong data analytics and organizational skills
• A clear communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Inquisitive nature, attention to detail, diligence and a good attitude
• Excellent time and project management skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively
• Comfort working in a high growth, constantly changing environment
• Protect, At-Work, SMB and Lantern

What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities

• Lead annual/quarterly planning and collaborate with leaders to set business priorities and goals across multiple functions, including marketing, risk, product, engineering, design, ops
• Define OKRs and critical KPIs for PALS, manage business performance with OKR tracking, and report progress of OKRs to the business
• Lead the operating rhythm of the business - own the creation, iteration, and ongoing optimization of recurring business forums (e.g., monthly enterprise risk meetings)
• Drive process optimization and standardization by identifying and improving operating inefficiencies, and contributing to the Business Operations team effort to drive operational consistencies and automation
• Support the Business Unit Leader (BUL) in managing and remediating risks in the business (establish operating framework, setting agenda, facilitating conversations, working with business lead and business control partners to escalate roadblocks)
• Drive ad-hoc activities as requested by Business Unit Leader, Group Business Unit Leader, or Head of Business Operations
• Collaborate with Data Science team to produce data-driven insights and recommendations
• Run after projects such as business cases, competitive analysis, industry trends, cross-functional initiatives and alignment with stakeholders
• Support CEO initiatives (e.g., board member orientation, CEO offsite narrative)
