Position Details:

  • Location: St. Josephs Hospital South - Riverview
  • Status: Full Time (non-exempt)
  • Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Days: Monday Friday

The Electrician II is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment and circuits, principally but not limited to power distribution, motor control centers, and backup emergency switch gear.
  • Must also perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to primarily include Electrical and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes.
  • Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment.
  • May be scheduled to work various work shifts and weekends to meet the needs of the hospital not necessarily within the craft lines.
  • May require travel to perform necessary maintenance work at other BCHS facilities.
  • Requires current knowledge of various federal, state, local and CMS codes and regulations. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

  • Required - High School or Equivalent
  • Must obtain the OSHA 10-hour certification within 90 days.
  • 4 years experience in an acute healthcare setting is acceptable in lieu of HSD/GED.
  • Preferred Technical in a related field

Licenses

  • Required - Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent (8+ years Electrician experience encompassing a range of electrical work and skills sets) is required.

Experience

  • Required - 5 Years experience as an Electrician
  • 3 Years Hospital Maintenance is preferred.
  • 1 Year High- rise Electrical system experience is preferred.
  • 1 Year Mechanical system experience is preferred.
