Crude Shed Loader Operator

Thiele Kaolin Company, a leading provider of tailored mineral solutions, is currently recruiting for a Crude Shed Loader Operator. This position is located in Wrens, Georgia.

MAJOR DUTIES:

Be familiar with and follow Thiele's basic safety rules

Know the location and proper utilization of all safety related equipment and items in your respective department

Know the location and proper utilization of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Perform all required work-area/equipment inspections in accordance with Company policies and MSHA regulations

Maintain accurate maintenance, operating, and safety records of equipment in accordance with Company policies and MSHA regulations

Ensure proper care, safe operation, and perform basic maintenance of equipment as specified

Maintain proper cleanliness of equipment and work area on daily basis

Ascertain kaolin crude needs, maintain desired crude shed inventories, and deliver kaolin load blends to processing areas in accordance with Quality Control specifications

Maintain kaolin stockpiles at a safe working height and maintain both kaolin stockpiles and crude shed work areas in orderly manner

Use crude loader to grade active stockpile areas, crude shed, and traffic areas in order to maintain proper drainage and safe travel ways

Maintain clear communication and assist Classifier operators as necessary

Assist with mining pit duties as needed

SKILL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Good attendance and safety record

Ability to communicate well through written and verbal reporting

Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures

Ability to become familiar with process targets, product specifications, and processing methods for various clay grades

Ability to organize and work independently or with a minimal amount of supervision

Satisfactory mathematical ability and background

Ability to work well with others

Ability to troubleshoot problems and provide solutions

Satisfactory mathematical and communication skills

Adequate experience with basic kaolin processing
