Heavy Equipment Operator

The Solid Waste Special Service District dba Canyonlands Solid Waste Authority is seeking a skilled **Heavy Equipment Operator** to support daily landfill operations across District facilities. This hands-on position plays a vital role in maintaining safe, clean, and efficient landfill sites.The ideal candidate will operate heavy machinery---including loaders, compactors, dozers, and excavators---to manage waste placement, maintain working faces, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. In addition, the operator will assist at landfill gatehouses by interacting with the public to screen loads, accept materials, and process disposal fees.
