This job was posted by : For moreinformation, please see: DESCRIPTION OF POSITION**Under general supervision, applies professional engineering knowledgeand skills to a variety of engineering projects and work assignments.Work is performed under the supervision and guidance of a registeredengineer, who instructs in practices of project management, engineeringmethodologies, and engineering principles. The Civil Engineerclassification is the entry-level class within the professionalengineering career ladder. Assignments provide opportunity for theapplication of independent judgement and initiative in the design,management and review of projects. Performs related duties as required.**SUPERVISION RECEIVED**Work is performed independently under the guidance and direction of theCity Engineer and/or Assistant City Engineer who reviews work throughmeetings, conferences, inspections and the evaluation of overall resultsachieved.**SUPERVISION EXERCISED**No supervision of personnel exercised. May oversee the work performed bytechnical or paraprofessional Engineering staff.
