Overview

To work safely and maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others. Will have the ability to establish a working relationship with maintenance, production, and management personnel to achieve the goals of the organization. Must understand the mechanics of working machinery, be able to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and facilities. Ability to understand and work with work order systems, machine histories, scheduling, warehousing, and related maintenance fields.

  • Practice safe work habits & comply with all company work & safety standards.

  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Good communication skills through writing, speech, & hearing.

This position has an hourly rate of $29.30 ($60,944 annually) which does not include any applicable shift differential. Production bonuses are possible for every employee each month, based on the plant sites target goals.

The work schedule is Friday-Sunday 5:00am-3:30pm, followed by one 10 hour day during the week. Day to be determined. The schedule is subject to change based on the needs of the facility.

Salary Range $29.30-$37.06/hour

Responsibilities
  • Capable of working on ladders, walking stairs, and on uneven surfaces.
  • Have a working knowledge of mechanical operations used in the industry and be able to maintain, install, repair, and troubleshoot all systems, equipment, and facilities.
  • Possess the necessary skills and aptitudes required to operate maintenance tools and related machinery.
  • Be able to learn to operate all facility equipment to the degree needed for troubleshooting and testing.
  • Assist production personnel to maintain the flow of product.
  • Follow Company lockout, safety, and work standards.
  • Attend any training necessary to upgrade performance.
  • Operate machinery in a safe manner so injury does not occur to operator or any employee in the area.
  • Notify supervisor of any problems that arise during the shift.
  • Train any employees as assigned by supervisor.
  • Work overtime as necessary.
  • Clean shop and maintain proper housekeeping to promote a safe work environment.
  • Kit projects and restock shelves
Qualifications

A minimum of 1-year mechanical experience is preferred. Must hold and/or obtain Hampton PIT, chainsaw, and fall protection.

Have experience and/or exposure to welding, cutting, troubleshooting equipment and systems, maintaining working components, operating machinery, understanding pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and use of all tools relate to the trade.
