Construction Scheduler

Top construction management firm is looking to add a Project Controls Specialist proficient in construction scheduling to their team in Newton, MA. In this role, you'll be responsible for tracking project schedules for large utility construction projects, working hand-in-hand with our internal project management team. You'll be the go-to expert for all things related to project scheduling, cost control, and forecasting, ensuring seamless execution of project deliverables. Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 is required, as well as proficiency with MS Office.

responsibilities:

• Set up and manage project schedules using planning and control software (e.g., Primavera P6).
  
  
• Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and project forecasts.
  
  
• Track project costs, cash flows, and earned value metrics.
  
  
• Coordinate planning and scheduling across engineering, procurement, and construction.
  
  
• Create and analyze schedule reports, logs, and "what-if" scenarios.
  
  
• Support project meetings and respond to technical inquiries.
  
  
• Approve and document cost changes, purchase orders, and subcontracts.
  
  
• Collaborate with project management and accounting to review financials and audits.
  
  
• Perform quality checks, field audits, and forensic schedule analysis.
  
  
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office tools.
