A Scheduler is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Manassas, VA area. The Scheduler manages and coordinates all aspects of project scheduling for complex industrial Tool Install programs, ensuring accurate timelines, resolving conflicts, and driving performance through Agile, LEAN, and industry best practices.

responsibilities:
  • Serve as liaison between project team and client schedulers to ensure accurate schedule data.

  • Resolve scheduling conflicts and escalate issues as needed.

  • Manage the daily scheduling operations of the project team to meet productivity targets.

  • Conduct Time Impact Analyses (TIA) and recommend schedule recovery actions.

  • Develop and review baseline schedules, including logic, durations, resources, and costs.

  • Run schedule workshops; identify critical path activities.

  • Guide Agile/Scrum and Kanban teams in prioritization and workflow optimization.

  • Promote and implement LEAN principles in construction/design processes.

Education and Experience:

  • B.S. in Industrial Engineering or related field; or associate degree with military technical background.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in scheduling large-scale industrial projects.

  • At least 4 years of experience with Tool Install project scheduling.

  • PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) certification required.

  • Proficient in Primavera P6.

  • Familiarity with Excel, VBA, Power BI, and Access for analysis/reporting.
