Job Duration: 11 Months (Contract to hire)
Pay Rate: $55.70/hr to $60.70/hr
Job Description:
- As the TES Construction Manager, you are a leader in the client pre-construction process where you will play an integral part in the permitting of the facility network infrastructure including new builds, retrofits, expansion, and program initiatives.
- Partnering with internal stakeholder and external stakeholders to engage as a team and ensure timely permitting will be part of your critical tasks.
- Key competencies of this position include ensuring that contracted resources deliver work product in support of project permitting, meeting duration and quality targets, coaching project teams (developers, design engineers, professional consultants), contract management, budget oversight and overseeing multiple in various locations simultaneously.
- This opportunity combines construction engineering, planning, project management, facilities management, and contract management.

Typical Day/task breakdown:
- Each day you will represent TES in ensuring the on time and in budget execution of client construction projects.
- Daily tasks may comprise Construction document development and management, coordination with various consultants on projected changes, project status, ensuring consultants are meeting contractual obligations, and utilizing the client information systems to record and update scheduling, budget and other key developments.
- You will be negotiating terms of contracts with consultants all the while driving to meet or exceed schedules and budgets of the approved scope. Additionally, you will participate in weekly AOC meetings providing input on root causes and corrective action as may be required
- Various meeting and coordination calls- monitoring status of project- internal communication with teams- group meetings- and reporting meeting with customers- reviewing drawings from architects and approvals
Travel:
- Up to 20% travel expected for this role
Interaction level with the team:
- 2 meetings per week and companywide meeting once a week- reginal meeting twice a week- hand off to construction managers- and architect meetings weekly (lots of communication between teams and within the team)

- Design review, permitting to construction bidding and consulted during construction execution prior to final hand-off to our internal stakeholder-a diverse, upbeat, creative, team of designers, engineers and managers working on a daily basis to develop innovative sustainable facilities and infrastructure for our customers- Fast pace but very supportive

Years of exp/ Degree:
- A completed Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or comparable field.
- 5+ years of experience as an Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, or other Construction related disciplines.
- 5+ years project management experience from design phase through implementation and operation.
- •5+ years of experience negotiating construction, procurement and labor contracts
- 2+ years of program management
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Masters degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or Masters of Business.
- Experience operating within at least two disciplines in the construction industry, which could consist of General Contracting, Owners Representation, Commercial Development, Engineering & Design, or similar.
- Experience inclusive of facilities manager or similar.
- Demonstrated capability in the planning, design review & implementation, and project management /control of new structures & the enhancement of existing facility buildings.
- Demonstrated success in communicating project requirements to various audiences (e.g. senior management, peers, public officials, vendors, etc.)
Disqualifiers/ Red Flags:
- No quantifying measurements to relate to exp.( type, cost,), Needs to have some technology skills, person needs to be willing to learn new Tec,
Green Flag:
- AutoCAD, Procore / MS Project exp is a plus.
