Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer Test Equipment to lead the operations of a test equipment lab, ensuring all systems are designed, maintained, and operated to meet high regulatory and performance standards. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in test equipment life cycles, regulatory compliance, and team leadership, with hands-on experience in ATE development and interface test adaptors.
Job Description
- Test Equipment Lab Manager need to actively oversee the creation and maintenance of high-quality test equipment, contributing to the overall success of the lab and its projects.
- Oversee the design and development of test equipment, ensuring it meets regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the daily operations of the test equipment lab, ensuring all activities are conducted efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and implement lab policies and procedures to maintain high standards of operation
- Ensure all test equipment and procedures comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Implement and monitor quality control processes
- Manage the maintenance, calibration, and repair of all lab equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Maintain an inventory of lab equipment and supplies, ensuring timely procurement and replacement
- Lead and supervise a team of lab technicians and engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure project success
- Recruit, train, and evaluate lab staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect lab personnel and ensure a safe working environment
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
- Define, implement, and maintain design practices.
Skills Required
- Strong understanding of test equipment design, maintenance, and relevant software tools.
- Knowledge of IPC610 standards related to Workmanship Standard for Crimping, Interconnecting Cables, Harnesses, and Wiring.
- OSHA Standards (Occupational, Safety and Health Administration) applicable for the Test equipment build.
- Experience in complete life cycle of building ATE based on COTS DAQ or custom designed Hardware and Test Application Software.
- Experience in design and development of Interface Test Adaptors using mass interconnects like Virginia Panel.
Education/Training/Certifications
- Highschool diploma or GED.

Pay Rate/Salary
- Base Compensation: $110k/year (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location.)
