Job Title: Machine Operator - Metal Fabrication

Location: Aurora, CO

Shift: 1st, 2nd or 3rd

Pay: $22.50/hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our team in the metal fabrication department. The ideal candidate will have experience working with heavy machinery, including CNC machines, press brakes, lathes, milling machines, and other equipment used in the production of metal components. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of these machines to produce high-quality metal parts while adhering to strict safety, quality, and production standards.

Key Responsibilities for Machine Operator:

- Operate and maintain various machines in the metal fabrication process, such as CNC mills, lathes, punch presses, brake presses, and shears

- Set up machines for specific tasks, including configuring tools, fixtures, and controls, and calibrating machines to meet precise specifications

- Monitor machine performance during production runs, ensuring that products meet quality standards, tolerances, and specifications

- Inspect finished parts for defects or discrepancies. Perform routine inspections and make adjustments to correct any issues

- Identify and troubleshoot machine malfunctions, making necessary adjustments or repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production flow

- Conduct regular maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts to ensure optimal machine performance

- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment, including the proper handling of tools, machinery, and raw materials

- Complete production reports, quality checks, and maintenance logs to ensure accurate tracking of production progress and machine status

- Work closely with production teams, engineers, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and to communicate any issues or improvements

Qualifications for Machine Operator:

- At least 2-3 years of experience in machine operation or metal fabrication (CNC, press brakes, mills, lathes, etc.) is preferred

- Strong understanding of machine operation, metalworking techniques, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues quickly and effectively

- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment

- High level of accuracy and attention to detail when measuring, setting up, and inspecting parts

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and supervisors
