Learn about the Trident II D5 Fleet Ballistic Missile.
You will develop and review engineering design packages: drawings, specifications, testing/acceptance procedures and cost estimates for assigned projects.
You will ensure designs comply with International Building Codes (IBC), United Facility Criteria (UFC) and Lockheed Martin standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
You will coordinate and participate in activities regarding technical development, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and construction issues. To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Architectural) or related field,
10+ years of experience in facility design and construction, including on-site construction experience,
Proven track record of delivering complex facility projects.
You will need to be a US Citizen (no dual citizens), and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance , to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Familiarity with the military construction (MILCON) process
Experience on a Department of Defense (DoD) program involving missiles or launch vehicles working directly with customer counterparts to develop designs, resolve technical issues and improve processes
Experience with aerospace or missile processing, production facilities and associated supporting infrastructure
Experience with cost estimation/tools (US Cost, Success Estimator, RS Means)
Experience with International Building Codes (IBC), United Facility Criteria (UFC), and other industry standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively
Possess effective relationship-building skills with peers, leadership and suppliers

Demonstrated exceptional strategic communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, contractors, and stakeholders, as well as program executives, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.

What does this role look like?
The Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program is seeking a Project Engineer Senior Staff to join our mission in Silverdale, WA!In this role will offer you the following daily key responsibilities:
