The Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program is seeking a Structural Engineer Sr. to join our mission in Cape Canaveral, FL!

As a Structural Engineer Sr., you will exercise technical authority for the design of assigned projects to include major modifications for Trident II missile processing and support facilities.
You will develop and review engineering design packages: drawings, specifications, testing/acceptance procedures and cost estimates for assigned projects.
You will ensure designs comply with International Building Codes (IBC), United Facility Criteria (UFC) and Lockheed Martin standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
You will coordinate and participate in activities regarding technical development, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and construction issues.

Although this position does support some teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Titusville, FL. , and be expected to work in the office as needed To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field.
Experience with developing and/or reviewing infrastructure structural designs.
Experience with design standards and codes, including Unified Facility Criteria (UFC) and/or International Building Codes (IBC).
You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance , to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

PE License in Structural Engineering
Experience on a Department of Defense (DoD) program involving missiles or launch vehicles working directly with customer counterparts to develop designs, resolve technical issues and improve processes
Familiarity with the military construction (MILCON) process
Experience with aerospace or missile processing, production facilities and associated supporting infrastructure
Experience with MathCAD, RISA, AutoCAD, and/or Revit
Possess effective relationship-building skills with peers, leadership and contractors,
You bring positivity and enthusiasm to every project you touch. In addition to the work, you love being part of a team and working collaboratively through the process.
Demonstrated exceptional strategic communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation.
